The only: Medicine that could do it would be hormones. Plan b might do it if u have access, it is Progesterone but would likely need more than 1 dose, like repeat dose in 48 hours. It's not intended for that but don't see where it would hurt, could take birth control pills continously if on them, gd luc.

No: Volume of the earphone is important however. Keep your ipod or similar device below 50% volume to help prevent long term hearing loss.

Are there benefits to staying to only one type of medicine- east or west?
2 doctor answers • 4 doctors weighed in

Dr. Valencia Porter answered

Both have benefits: Many types of healing modalities including eastern traditions and western allopathic medicine can be beneficial depending on the issue at hand. In some cases, both can be used together. In other cases one may be more appropriate though not exclusive (i.e. In a severe trauma situation, western medicine can save your life; for symptoms of a cold, i would think of using eastern herbal remedies).

Can you help with this query? Why is only one of my greatgrandkids a redhead like I am?

Dr. Laura Viehmann answered

It's in the genes!: Red hair is inherited. If you married a blond then you have more chances of passing on the red head gene than if you marry a brunette, especially if the brunette comes from a family without blonds and redheads. Like a coin toss, each pregnancy has the same odds. If you flip a coin 3 times you may get all tails even though each flip has a 50% chance of being heads (assuming equal weight).

My left supraclavicular lymph node is big hard. Why only one side?
2 doctor answers • 7 doctors weighed in

Dr. Martin Raff answered
Infectious Disease 56 years experience
Cannot tell: A large supraclavicular node may be due to many different things, and whether it needs to be biopsied depends on whether "hard" means stony hard, whether it is fixed to underlying tissues, tender, continuing to enlarge, how long it has been there and many other things will influence decision-making. See your doctor and get this taken care of.

How healthily can a person live with only one adrenal gland?
1 doctor answer • 1 doctor weighed in

Dr. Guy DaSilva answered
Preventive Medicine 35 years experience
Adrenal function: Typically, when there are two organs and one is removed, the other compensates and under normal, non-stressed situations, the person should do find. However, since the adrenal gland is a "life saving" - "fight or flight" gland, one gland when over stressed may lead to adrenal hypofuction, with symptoms similar to addison's disease. So remember to minimize your stress and excercise relaxation.
