i over stretched my knee towards and past my thigh then heard three loud cracks. it became swollen and painful and now i can not extend it fully.?

U need 2 B Cn: Not sure what u did but if it swelled right away and feels tense could b an acl or could b a cartilage tear. Get in 2 c an ortho guy. X_ray & xame can give u a DX easily.
