what are good ways to drop pounds as a teenager?

Eat low calorie food: Helpful weight loss foods are natural foods that take time to chew but contain few calories. Examples include carrots, celery, and iceberg lettuce (without salad dressing). When shopping for fruits, buy small ones no bigger than a tennis ball, because fruits contain natural sugar. Drinks without calories include water and green tea. If one craves candy, he can chew sugarless gum.

When should adolescents and adults get vaccinated against tetanus? Should they get vaccinated with td or tdap?

3 doctor answers7 doctors weighed in
Dr. Robert Kwok
Pediatrics 33 years experience
Tdap: Adolescents and adults needing a tetanus booster should get the tdap. Some age limits apply. If the person already got a tdap less than 10 years ago, was an adult at that time, and is now getting another tetanus vaccine, he can get the td, without pertussis protection. Future recommendations regarding td and tdap may change.

Complicated question: There are not many antidepressants fda approved for children. The doctor must take each case individually. There is no one corrects swear otr list that should be given. The ages are so broad and tolerances and side egffectes at different ages and problrems I do not thimfk this question should be answered in this format.

How must I teach my teen self-control?

1 doctor answer3 doctors weighed in
Dr. Cornelia Franz
Specializes in Pediatrics
Example: The best tool we have for teaching is modeling the behavior. If you have modeled it then your teen will see that. If you have modeled poor self control then he/she will model that as well. Understanding the teens point of view and offering other ways to react to situations. You may find that a counselor who does cognitive behavior therapy or dilaectical behavior therapy will also be very valuable.

No: This is an adamant no. Having 2 tampons in can increase your risk of toxic shock syndrome - a very serious and life threatening bacterial infection.
