is it normal for a five year old child to be aware of their heart beating?

Yes: Young children become aware of many things going on inside their bodies. They can feel their hearts beat, they become aware of movement of food in their bellies, and learn what hunger actually means. This is all normal. They soon learn to ignore it all again.

No: It is unlikely to be normal... It is unusual to be aware of your heartbeat there are causes for this such as anemia and other causes that are not related the heart as well as heart related cause.
