Pinched nerve likely: Pain in the area of the scapula is likely to be a pinched nerve in the neck or referred from the elbow. You need a good physical exam and probably an emg.

Shoulder blade pain: Shoulder blade pain is often a muscle spasm or a neck problem. Posture can play a role in non-traumatic pain. If the problem persists, see a physician and get your neck and spine evaluated.
