TEE: These findings although not normal are not uncommon. The septal aneurysm is a thinning if the septum between the left and right atrium and the important finding is that there is no flow across it. Diastolic dysfunction describes a stiffness of the muscular wall of the left ventricle and can be reversed with good blood pressure control.

Have stiff heart mus: Diastolic dysfunction is stiffness of the heart mscle and can cause congestive heart failure there is not any real good treatement for this best treatment would be improved blood pressure control. There are some medications that have been shown to reduce left ventricular hypertrophy and decrease the thickness of the left ventricle that can cause diastolic dysfunction.
