Depends: Stress fractures may take 6-8 weeks to heal. Always look for predisposing factors. Typically think of a stress factor as an over use injury so look for alignment issues such foot pronation, excessive supination, leg length discrepancy, pelvic obliquity and muscle imbalances that can be corrected. Also vitamin d deficiency or other issues that might be related to osteopenia /osteoporosis.

Many possibilities: R.I.C.E. Rest, ice, compression, elevation. Immobilization with a splint or brace may be of benefit in the initial phase of recovery. Oral anti-inflammatory medication may help with the pain and swelling. Once improved, mobilization and physical therapy can help restore strength and function. Healing times may vary.
