I would recommend : You see a doctor for an in office exam..The last thing you would want to do is allow that tendon to rupture.....

See below: If it is a large spur and rubbing on the achilles tendon it could eventually help cause a rupture to the tendon.

Yes provided: Achilles tendon is not swollen and tender. If you feel swollen, warmth, and pain you have a chance to rupture it. See specialist. At the very least, try to get orthotics to reduce strain on achilles tendon.
