Hip fracture: Is typically caused by a fall. A person will have pain in the hip and groin, the painful leg may appear shorter and the leg may be rotated outwards. The outside of the leg may be tender to touch. The pain can be severe and the person probably unable to walk. Hip fracture requires transfer to Hospital and Orthopaedic review for surgical repair. See patient.info/health/hip-fracture for information.
