A muscle relaxant: Baclofen is used to reduce discomfort related to "muscle spasms" from a variety of causes. It is commonly used to treat spasticity - which is a constant "muscle spasm" commonly associated with prior brain and spinal cord injury.

Baclofen is a drug used to treat spasticity or abnormal muscle tone. While spasms can be associated with spasticity they are different
