Fungal infection: Likely you have a fungal infection called tinea versicolor, which is very common and harmless. The fungus produces a substance which prevents the skin cells from tanning when exposed to sun. I assume this rash pattern appears in summer time and fade in winter? If so, this is what you have. Vitiligo can also do that, but it is very obvious. I suggest seeing doc for eval and treatment. Good luck.
