Only short-term.: Ambesol will relieve the gums, but only for a short time- minutes. It really doesn't do much for sensitive teeth. Sensitive teeth that don't have cavities causing the sensitivity are bes treated with a desensitizing toothpaste. There are several different brands on the market. If you get no relief, see a dentist for in-office solutions.

For a short period: The relief you get by using anbesol is very limited and it will not help your sensitive teeth.
If you have sensitive teeth you may have active caries or receding gums, tooth past may not work if your sensitivity is due too a dental caries. If it persist you should have your dentist check your teeth and gums.
