i am 14 weeks pregnant with twins and the ultra sound tech said my twins have their own gestational sac, i'm confused need someone to explain meaning.?

Variable with twins: Twins are either identical or non-identical. If they are not identical then each twin has its own sac and placenta and they are totally separate. If twins are identical (split from the same embryo) then although they share one large pregnancy sac, within that sac the twins can be separate, together, or share some things. So that is what gets confusing.
