Please See EyeMD: Eyelid issues in the setting of contact lens use is a very bad mix that can lead to devastating consequences. I am glad things are getting better, but you need to see an ophthalmologist to figure out why did the eyelid swell in the first place! if it was contact lens irritation, maybe it need to be refitted! please see an ophthalmologist.

Stye: Although there are many reasons for a swollen red eyelid, a chalazion or "stye" is probably the most common. It is not an infection but essentially a blocked oil gland on the eyelid. Usually they will resolve with warm compresses on the eyelid a few times a day for about a week. If is doesn't resolve, seek care from an eye doctor.

Depends on cause: Icing the lid help reduce pain and swelling. Once the swelling is improved, warm compresses help clear out the oil glands in the lids which often cause the redness and inflammation in the first place.

No: Swollen eyelids indicate irritation, infection, allergic reaction, etc. Need to have it to checked out if does not resolve or worsens
in someone young, higher chance for being a stye, or a bite or allergic reaction if otherwise healthy and no trauma.

Try a warm compress: It could be a variety of conditions, caused by many different things. If it doesn't respond to warm compresses 4 times a day for about 5
minutes each for 2 days, you should see an ophthalmologist.

See your doctor: It could be a hordeolum or "sty" or a soft tissue infection of your eyelid. You should see a doctor to determine the appropriate treatment since they are not the same for both diagnoses.
