family doctor gave me a positive test but the free clinic said negative. i would only be about 3 weeks along. could i be pregnant?

Yes: Not uncommon for some tests to be more sensitive than others. But, wait a few days and repeat at free clinic- if you are pregnant their test will turn positive as well. Occasional false positives do happen, so if the free clinic test remains neg in a week it is not likely you are pregnant.

Blood test: Serum (blood pregnancy) testing should be done to confirm if positive or not. It becomes positive before urine, so if pregnant it will be positive.
