A 35-year-old female asked:
Does the pain of ovarian cysts tend to wax and wane over time? does ovulation and menstruation aggravate it, causing it to become more painful?

Yes and yes: Many ovarian cysts ("functional cysts") do come and go with the menstrual cycle, so it's very common. There are also other cysts that will not be related to your cycle; it's very important you work with your doctor about this.
