It doesn't: Sweating is normal and healthy -- in fact, sweat is antibacterial! however, excess sweating can lead to chronically damp, damaged skin. Damaged skin is vulnerable to fungus and yeast infections such as jock itch and athlete's foot. Excess sweating can be treated with topical antiperspirants and in extraordinary circumstances, with Botox injections.

Sweating ; Skin: Sweating allows the body to cool itself. Sweating may allow bacteria to overgrow and promote infection or acne if not rinsed off in a relatively timely fashion, but otherwise does not significantly impact skin health.
