A 23-year-old member asked:

is it possible for your stomach to burst when you eat too much?

Usually not.: Overdistension of the stomach usually does not lead to rupture, unless there is some external force that compresses an already distended stomach. Of course if there has been some injury to the stomach that has caused a weakened area in the wall then it is likely to tear in this area if stretched too tightly. Most times the distension of the stomach will become uncomfortable enough that you stop

No: You will get sick and vomit before that happens.

Yes: A lot of women feel very self-conscious about their weight and their new body in pregnancy. And it doesn't help that everyone you see wants to comment on how big you are getting. They are trying to tell you how happy they are for you and you are trying to forget about the basketball suddenly attached to you. It can be tough. Remember that the rest of the world thinks your big belly is beautiful.
