Not much: Its good for your spirit. Blood has its own way of replenishing itself. All blood cells have limited life span, after which, the spleen degrades them naturally.

Altruism: Donating blood is an altruistic act and altruism generally makes people feel good about themselves. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, if you do, and get HPV vaccine, if you are younger than 45-years. Wish you good health!
