Dr. Michael Miller
Addiction Medicine 46 years experience
Probably: One binge is worrisome but recurrent binging is definitely a problem. It constitutes "abuse" at least and if one finds it difficult to bring it under control, it indicates the patient is "alcoholic" by any definition of the word.
Dr. Stuart Wasser
Addiction Medicine 35 years experience
Depends: Twenty to fifty percent of binge drinkers ate alcohol dependent.
