are pets at risk of getting head lice? my son has head lice. should i be concerned that he got it from our pets or could give it to our pets?

Only human issue : Head lice are a human specific problem. Human head lice do not transfer to animals but require human blood to live.Fido would give them indigestion & death by starvation.
