Yes: Yes absolutely! oxygen can be very hazardous especially to those who smoke and use a lit flame anywhere near a stream of flowing pure oxygen. I personally have seen patients that have failed to heed warnings and be burned very seriously by this.

Oxygen Therapy: Not sure if you are referring to hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Oxygen is an oxidizer, so it supports combustion of other materials. Thus, significant care must be given to ensure that there are no flames nearby.
