Pretty good: Between 1999 and 2006, 1874 children (age <18) were listed as status 1a (most critical need for heart transplant). Of those, 17% died, 63% received transplants, and 8% recovered and 12% remained listed as of 2006. Circulation. 2009; 119: 717-727.
