Hello. : Hello. There is high blood pressure and then there is high blood pressure. I would ask your family physician as he or she knows your overall health picture and has likely monitored your blood pressure over time.

Depends: High blood pressure should be managed before playing high intensity sports (like football) to prevent short and long term cardiovascular complications. See your doctor for recommendations on lowering it and for clearance to play. They may need to do more of a work up to determine the cause.
