What does it mean abnormal signal within the right side of the cord c4-5 i have lots of pain and burning back pain for a very long time can't get any help from my doctor, what do i do please help if you can thank you

When : When the spinal cord appears more white on t2 sequence MRI this is called abnormal signal change. There are many causes of abnormal signal change from swelling and/or damage from compression of the spinal cord, multiple sclerosis, tumor, stroke, inflammation/infection, etc. I would recommend seeing a neurosurgeon and/or neurologist to determine cause and treatment.
