Diagnosis : Diagnosis of the cause of headaches is a challenge usually involving a full clinical examination, laboratory studies and possibly cat scans or other advanced testing. The duration of your headache is concerning. Headaches may be the sign of a significant underlying problem so you should be evaluated by your personal physician as soon as possible even if the headache abates.
