Hello, : Hello, you may have an upper respiratory tract infection. Congestion can place pressure against the eustacian tubes, so that they are not draining the ears of fluid and pressure with resultant pain and ear ringing (tinnitus). The congestion can also cause a headache. The mucus could be coming from a variety of places including your nose or a sinus. Recommend that you see an ear/ nose/throat specialist. I hope you are feeling better soon. Take care.

Ringing : Ringing in the ear (tinnitis) and hearing loss is suggestive of possible middle ear infection. The discolored mucous (i'm assuming from your nose) with malodor could be coming from a sinus infection (suggested if you have pain and pressure around your eyes/cheeks). Allergies often can be a trigger for both sinus and nasal obstruction as well as eustachian tube dysfunction (that can lead to middle ear problems) as aresult of mucosal swelling. I would suggest you see your primary care physician or ENT to see whether a course of antibiotics are indicated in addition to the decongestant and allergy treatment.
