Every : Every medical clinic regardless of the type keeps medical records, which means a record of your visit as you stated. Every state has it's own law on how long they are required to keep those records. The average is about 7 years. Regardless these files cannot be shared with anyone that was not directlyinvolved in your care, as they are protected under a certain privacy act. You can contact the clinic for their policy on medical records and privacy information, this should have been given to you at your first visit, check your records.

A 49-year-old member asked:

Could you tell me what happens if you're too far along for an abortion but you go to a clinic?

I wish I knew: This is an it depends question. I assume you mean over 20 weeks. There are doctors in some states that seem to believe you are never too far along. God willing, an ethical clinic will help you find prenatal care, counseling, possibly an adoption agency. I refer pregnant women who want an abortion to the yellow pages, those that want help to agencies that can provide it.
