Should i be concerned about my menstrual cycle? i have been on my period for about 25 days now. at first it was really light and after about 8 days it stopped. i had a break for 1 day then it came back really heavy. i am having to wear a super plus tampon

Yes: You need to be evaluated. A pregnancy test and an ultrasound would be helpful. Depending on your age an endometrial biopsy may be necessary.

Yes: A menstrual period lasting 25 days needs to be evaluated by an ob/gyn. Depending on your age the causes can be many. Most likely you have had a build up of the lining of your uterus from not ovulating. But other causes include uterine fibroid, cancer, polyp.
