Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 18 years experience
Many: Cts means that the median nerve in your wrist is compressed or irritated as it travels through the carpal tunnel. In addition to the median nerve, there are several tendons in the carpal tunnel. Inflammation of these tendons causes swelling which can compress the median nerve. Factors that increased likelyhood of cts are:pregnancy, excessive typing, and repetitive use of the hands.
