Menstrual : Menstrual irregularities are fairly common. You are likely dealing with anovulation, which is the absence of ovulation, thus causing abnormal bleeding. Causes of anovulation are extreme exercise, hormonal changes (thyroid issues, polycystic ovarian syndrome, hyperprolactinemia), fluctuations in weight (increase or decrease), stress/anxiety. You should have an evaluation by your primary care provider or gynecologist. Birth control pills can help stabilize your cycle. Discuss this option with your doctor. Good luck.
