i have pain in my upper left side beneath my rib cage i feel the pain more at night when i sleep on my left side.

Many possibilities: It could just be pinched nerve under your diaphragm, muscle strain, pleurisy or cardiac. Go see your dr for reassurance. I'd recommend an ekg bec. Of your age, to check for heart disease. Take care my friend!
