Compress,Sclero,Lase: Wear compression garments. Spider veins are best treated with sclerotherapy in combination with laser ablation. However underlying venous disease may be better approaches with the endovenous laser or ligation.

Sclerotherapy; Laser: For unsightly spider veins not associated with arterial disease, chronic venous insufficiency, stasis dermatitis, or edema, sclerotherapy by an expert remains the best and most effective way of eliminating spider veins. Laser treatments can work well for the tiniest vessels, but may have a higher risk of scarring. Bigger varicosities require surgery or endovenous laser treatment.

Why spider veins?: The main reason why spider veins occur is because of heredity. Unless you can change who you have as grandparents, there is little you can do preventatively. Hormones, truama, and sun exposure can also play a role. Stockings can help to reduce any symptoms you might have from your spider veins but without changing your genetics, you won't stop them from appearing in the first place. For treatment, .

Not much: The main reason why people develop any vein disorder (varicose veins and spider veins) is because of heredity. If you got the wrong set of parents and inherited their vein troubles, it is very likely that you will have vein trouble too. Spider veins can be caused by an injury and being overweight might contribute to getting spider veins but heredity is the biggest factor.

No and Yes: There is no good way to prevent spider veins, nor is there any way to cure them. Sclerotherapy which involves injecting them with a solution such as sotradecol or polidocanol is a good way to treat them, but needs to have maintenance in 1-2 years as they pop up in other sites.

You can moderate: You probably cannot prevent varicose veins if you have the genetic profile for them. There is no food you can eat or avoid to change this. Obesity does make varicose vein disease worse. Regular exercise helps to minimize veins, as does wearing proper hose. If you have significant varicose vein disease, you should be evaluated by a phlebologist and treated.

Reduction of spiders: Spider veins are a very common problem and there are many causes including hereditary, aging, pregnancies and even sun exposure. Treatment may include compression stockings but this is a temporizing measures. For more definitive treatment, sclerotherapy o topical laser or micro needle rf would be a better choice. However, this is a process and may require multiple sessions.
