Pain and bruising: Usually you will have a significatn aamount of pain trying to walk as well as some bruising around the sides of the heel. Xrays or ct scans can tell you if it is truly fractured and to what extent. Treatment varies depending on the extent of the fracture. Fractures can be pieced back together with screws and plates or you can be casted for 3 months or so with no weight to the foot.
