Many possibilities: If your son is in day care he can bring home viruses. But also constipation can cause intermittant diarrhea. Occasionally women develop inflammatory bowel disease during or after pregnancy. Irritable bowel syndrome can seem like recurrent viruses too. It's best to see your doctor to sort this out.
