What are the dangers of taking xanax (alprazolam) intravenously?

Possibly deadly: This would be extremely dangerous, since xanax (alprazolam) does not come as an IV medication. This means that you or someone else would have to prepare an injectable solution. It's unlikely that sterile technique would be used to do this outside of a manufacturing lab, plus the contents could be anything. And if larger particles are in solution, you could end up with emboli in veins or lungs. Deadly.

Xanax (alprazolam): Although unheard oif, if somehow someone can prepare it for use as injectable, sudden death is possible due to effect on heart.
