40 weeks from LMP: The convention is calculating 40 complete weeks from the last normal mentrual period. For assisted conception by any method there are small modifications, but they don't change the basic rule. With uncertain/unknown lmp, dating is estimated by ultrasound measurement of fetal parts and pregnancy structures, but if this agrees within 1 week to lmp, then menstrual dating is still used.

How can I prepare for my pregnancy due date?

It may seem cliche..: I did read What to Expect with my 3 pregnancies, make sure you have an updated version if you do. Around 30-32 weeks you want to make sure the heavy duty stuff is done because you will be tired. The most important thing is to set up a support for 2-4 weeks post partum, including breastfeeding help. Make sure everyone is on the same page. And then rest..And then rest some more. And then rest!!

I don't understand..: I'm not clear on your question. If you are pregnant and near your due date, why would you want to do a pregnancy test? Best wishes!
