Type 1 in younger...: Dm-1, or Insulin deficient diabetes is msot common in younger children, but the obesefication of america is increasing the number of type 2 diabetics (insulin resistance) skyrocket, although in young people type 1 is more common. Most people think it post-viral infection of beta cells producing Insulin that elicits an immune response which kills the Insulin producing beta cells. Insulin is the rx!
