Good habits: Daily flossing and brushing of your tongue, brushing the teeth at least twice daily, at least rinsing following snacks or drinks that are not water if you cannot brush, and eating a well-balanced diet. I would also encourage regular visits with your dentist at least every six months.

Oral hygiene: I would see a dentist every 6 months or more, eat properly, exercise, take supplements and work on the stress in your life. Excellent oral hygiene and a good lifestyle can really go a long way. If your teeth are decayed or your have crooked teeth, see about correcting- not just for the esthetics, but to help you be able to clean more efficiently.
