can i wear my eye glasses for nearsightedness during extended periods of computer use?

Depends: By mid forties the ability of the lens to bend is impaired and therefore you may enjoy computer work with your glasses off if you are nearsighted at the distance of your screen. If not, bifocal glasses may be the best solution.
