My 9 yr old son has tested positive for add, but he does well in math, but poorly in language arts, could he have a learning disabilities?

He could: But this still needs to be confirmed by a learning disability evaluation. His reading/writing skills needs to be significantly lower than people who have same age and iq would achieve to get a diagnosis of learning disability.

Yes: The learning disabilities occur at a frequency of about 40% with add or adhd kids. Evaluation by a masters or phd level psychologist using individual tests is the standard for defining learning strengths & weaknesses. Sometimes the schools will sponsor this or it can be done privately.
