Go to an Apple store: Don't know about the ipod, but there is a camera that monitors whatever one wants to monitor, and connects to the internet via one's home internet connection. With that camera, one can watch things on an iphone or ipad. The camera is likely made by a third party company and not by apple itself, but might be sold at some apple stores.
