why does my urine smell like ammonia?

AMMONIA: Could simply be a concentration issue. Work on drinking enough to make 1.5-2 l urine/day if you're heart and kidneys can tolerate that much input.

Diet? : A couple of reasons come to mind. Either she is eating a lot of protein or she is not getting enough fluids. If this persists talk to your doctor.
