You can soak : In hot water and epsom salt. Dextrose shots are a type of prolotherapy. You stated you received a series, how many does your doctor anticipate giving you? If your continually complaining the injections hurt, you may want to consider a different treatment option.

Get another opinion: When you get another opinion, an x-ray should have been already taken to evaluate the structure of the foot/heel/ankle. I assume that you already had this based on the diagnosis of the heel spur; however, the continued pain may be soft tissue related, an mri/ct would be more diagnostic. If you have a tear in the tendon and/or ligament, injections would not be effective.

I would respectfully disagree with the last sentence. PRP injections and dextrose prolotherapy can be effective treatments. Like, anything, not everything works for everybody. I do agree if pain persists, other treatments could be sued and or further diagnostic testing such as MRI may find other problems.

I, respectfully, disagree with the last sentence. PRP injections, dextrose prolotherapy can be effective treatments. I, personally, have treated plantar fascial tears (diagnosed via MRI) with PRP. There are reported cases in the medical literature as well.

Have it re-evaluated: If conservative measured fail to relieve you pain surgery is a viable option under certain circumstances. You may want to also try some physical therapy. Discuss it with your doctor.
