my toenail feel off after a injury to the toe. i'm allergic to neosporin. how should i treat it?

Vinegar soak: Begin soaking your foot for about 10-15 minutes daily in a 1:4 ratio of white vinegar to water which will cleanse the site and reduce inflammation. Get your toe checked by a podiatrist to check not only the toenail but the toenail bed as well.

Keep clean/protect: There are other topical antibiotics or antiseptics that can be used. Keep area protected with a dressing or bandaid. Do not wear tight fitting shoes.

Clean with soap and : Clean with soap and water and cover with Bacitracin ointment and bandaid. If nail bed becomes red, swollen or drains, see a podiatric physician.

Is it infected: If it is not infected i would keep it clean with soap & water and use a topical antifungal.
