A 48-year-old female asked:
I am 2 1/2 years post grny and have woken up with extreme gerd symptoms a handful of times: mouthful of bile, burning from stomach to throat? normal?

Call your surgeon: Assuming grny is a gastric bypass, it would be unusual to have bile in your mouth due to the type of intestinal reconstruction. Heartburn and ulcers are more common, and all of the above could turn in to something more serious, so you should follow up with your surgeon.
