is lip quivering bad?

Can vistaril (hydroxyzine) cause slight quivering in the lips? I took four tabs (25mg) yesterday. Wasnt able to sleep it all off now i'm tired and my face quivers.

No: We don't usually pursed lip breathe on purpose - we do so because our lung disease is so advanced that this is one of the only ways we can breathe.

No: Normally we don't need to think how we breathe. Breathing is a natural process. If thinking is required to carry out the process of breathing, then something is wrong on either physical or emotional level. You need to be seen and the doctor will make sure everything is ok.

Cold compress: Cold compress for the swelling. Ibuprofen for the pain inflammation. If it appears infected, see a physician.

Infection: Could be either bacterial or fungal infection, especially if it persists.

Perleche: This condition is most likely due to a localized fungal infection. Yeast (a type of fungus) flourishes in a moist, warm and dark environment such as the corners of your lips (oral commisures). Alternatively, the fissures can be a result of bacterial colonization. If an antifungal cream doesn't cure the problem, then try an antibiotic ointment or cream. Avoid licking your lips!

The treatment is to treat the yeast with medicine such as Nystatin and/or by addressing some of the causes which lead to the overgrowth in the first place (excessive saliva pooling at the corners of the mouth, lip licking ). Split lip: A split lip needs to be repaired by a doctor, particularly if it is deep enough to be into the muscle of the lip. This is done with sutures that can be dissolvable in most cases. A surface abrasion will heal on its own and can be treated with antibiotic ointment.

Then keep lips well- lubricated w Bacitracin or neosporin lip repair or whatever (as long as there's no camphor, phenol, or menthol) & avoid yawning or wide mouth openning till healed. If deep, suturing w gut suture is a way to speed healing.

It will heal itself: The inside of the mouth heals remarkably quickly. Unless you repeatedly irritate it, you will likely heal in a day or two. In the meantime, avoid salt or acidic food (pretzels, orange juice, ketchup etc.).
