are there any birth defects that may come from epidural steroid injections for degenerative disc disease?

Are you pregnant?: If not, then there are no birth defects associated with such injections. If you are, then the fluoroscopic guidance would be a risk to the developing fetus.

Not necessarily/lots: CP results from injury to the developing brain anytime from pregnancy to the 3rd birthday.Studies published in the early 80's showed most CP kids had normal pregnancy/labor/delivery& first 3yrs.Birth injury implicated in some. Maybe: Whether or not your doctor will want to prescribe birth control pills for you depends on the cause of your primary amenorrhea. You should see a doctor to determine whether you are not having periods because of hormones, anatomy, or another cause. This will guide treatment of your amenorrhea and help determine your best contraceptive options.
