This needs...: Dryness of the eyes and mouth can be the result of medications of many types such as over the counter allergy preparations, antidepressants, cold medications and the like. It can also be an early sign of more serious problems such as autoimmune diseaseslike rheumatoid arthritis or sjogren's disease. She should see an ophthalmologist and possibly a rheumatologist and get a workup.
