Acquired causes: Usually acquired causes of tracheobronchomalacia include compression of structures by goiter, vessel, cyst, abscess. Recurrent infection, emphysema, and certain types of trauma can also do it. With being overweight, especially when lying down the resulting symptoms could be the same, but i'm not exactly sure it causes the symptoms in the same exact way.
